 “FIRST Championship is always a fun time for the team. This year many members were able to take the time and fully explore the venue and what it had to offer,” said Shane G., Co-Captain of Chop Shop 166. “Additionally the skill and time demonstrated by the 600+ teams is always very interesting to see. Chop Shop also made it to Einstein for the first time in its 32 year history, setting another team record.”

After a fierce but friendly robotics competition over the April 3-5 weekend during the New England District Championships held at “The Big E” – The Eastern States Exposition in Springfield, Mass., – Merrimack High School’s Chop Shop 166 came through with enough heart to be invited to compete in the World Championships April 16-19 in Houston.

The members of FIRST Robotics Team Phoenix (2342) have earned a coveted spot at the upcoming FIRST World Championship in Houston, Texas April 16-19. This marks an exciting milestone for the team after an incredible performance at the New England District Championship last week.

The Merrimack High School FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team, Chop Shop 166, will be hosting FIRST’s ‘Week Zero’ event at Merrimack High School on February 15, 2025.  The event will bring in 32 different teams from all across New England. This is the first time any team will get to compete on the 2025 “REEFSCAPE” field.

The Merrimack High School FIRST Robotics team, Chop Shop 166, will be hosting a fun and family friendly event being held at the Merrimack High School on August 4th from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. The event entitled, “Cars, Robots, and Coffee”, is a combination car show and robotics demonstration.

The Merrimack High School FIRST Robotics team, Chop Shop 166, traveled to Worcester, Mass., recently to compete at BattleCry @ WPI, which was our last event of the school year. At the event, Chop Shop 166 competed with and against 58 other teams from New England, New York, Pennsylvania and even Ohio.
