MERRIMACK, NH – Over 300 people gathered with local car enthusiasts and several robotics teams at Merrimack High School for a Cars, Robots, and Coffee event hosted by Merrimack High School FIRST Robotics Team, Chop Shop 166.

“I’m very pleased with how this event turned out,” said Layth Juma, a mentor on Chop Shop 166 and an organizer of the event. “It was very on-brand with our image, and as a car enthusiast it’s always been a dream of mine to run something like this.”

Nearly 60 different cars including a Porsche 911, a Tesla Cybertruck, and even a Ford Model T participated in the show. Event attendees explored additional activities around the venue including live music, concessions, and robotics demonstrations displayed by FIRST Robotics Teams #166 Chop Shop, #1729 Team Inconveniable!, #2342 Team Phoenix, and Team #131 CHAOS.

“We love creating opportunities to interact with our community, and this event was a perfect example of that,” said Aidan Cox, a mentor on Chop Shop 166. “As one of the organizers, I would like to thank everyone who came out to support this event, as well as all of our sponsors and volunteers. This event wouldn’t have been possible without your support.”

Co-sponsored by Union Coffee Co. and Lou’s Custom Exhaust of Milford, the event raised nearly $5,000 overall, with all proceeds going to the Merrimack High School Robotics team, Chop Shop 166.

“Thank you everyone for coming,” said Laura, a member of team Chop Shop 166. “Your support at our first running of this event makes more events like this possible.”
