NASHUA, NH –United Way of Greater Nashua announces the upcoming United We Sleep event, set to take place from 5 p.m. on September 27 to 8 a.m. on September 28 at Nashua Community College. This event aims to raise awareness and funds to combat homelessness and support vital community services.
United We Sleep is more than just an event; it’s an urgent call to action. Our community is facing tough times, and the funds raised through this event are desperately needed to support our safety net services. Participants will spend the night experiencing the challenges of homelessness, gaining a deeper understanding of the hardships faced by those without a safe place to sleep.
How to Get Involved:
- Sign Up to Participate: Community members are encouraged to join us for the night and show solidarity with those in need. Sign Up Here: www.tinyurl.com/2024uws
- Support the Event: For those unable to attend, donations are welcome and greatly appreciated. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant impact. Donate Here: www.tinyurl.com/2024uws
- Spread the Word: Sharing this event with friends, family, and colleagues will help amplify our message and increase our impact.
The funds raised through United We Sleep support $400,000 in annual grants to local safety net organizations, emergency funds for homeless youth and adults (with $25,000 allocated so far this year), and programs at United Way that combat food insecurity. Your support is crucial in these challenging times, and we need your help now more than ever.
“Together, we can make a difference and work towards a community where everyone has a safe place to call home,” said Mike Apfelberg at United Way of Greater Nashua. “Thank you for your commitment to this important cause.”
