Rabbi Jon Spira-Savett, of Temple Beth Abraham in Nashua led the gathering of local clergy and about a dozen citizens in attendance. He began by saying, “We are here in front of this local center of our democracy that belongs to all of us. We’re here together on our main street on a peaceful day after an election day at an inclusive time.”

Vance referred to the border crisis and immigrants multiple times. He claimed Harris has and will “roll out the red carpet for illegal aliens” and provide them with Social Security and Medicaid.  He also blamed “them” for high housing costs. His thesis is immigration has an outsized impact on NH.

“Ladies and gentlemen, New Hampshire schools are overcrowded with children who don’t even speak English, which deprives our kids, deprives our kids of good education. New Hampshire hospitals are overwhelmed, emergency room wait times have skyrocketed. We’ve got people in this state who do not have a legal right to be here, said the Senator. I believe that we are compassionate people, and we are always going to be a compassionate country. But the compassion of the American president belongs with the American people who have the right to be here.

Famed Nashua Artist James Aponovich’s mural of the Yankee Flyer Diner has found a new home on the wall of the City Halls auditorium. Originally painted in 1997, it was restored once in 2015.  After years of outdoor exposure, the mural was removed from its original location last fall and brought to the dance studio in the basement of 14 Court Street for another restoration.  The third time is a charm.

A ceremony was held to re-dedicate the installation on the walls of the city hall auditorium.  Mayor Jim Donchess presided over the dedication ceremony.

Democrat Maggie Goodlander and Republican Lily Tang-Williams met in the studio of New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR) for the last time before the November 5th general election.

Under nearly perfect weather conditions for a fall day in New England, the jet touched down with little fanfare.  Scattered around the tarmac were security folks and a few Air National Guardsmen.  The Presidential motorcade was lined up along with a string of vans to carry the press pool. 

New Hampshire’s congressional delegation and democratic leaders were on hand to greet the President. Senators Shaheen and Hassan, Congressmen Pappas and Kuster, former Governor John Lynch, and Manchester Mayor Jay Ruais were among the dignitaries and friends on hand to welcome President Biden.

The sound of jackhammers working on the Factory Street paving project provided background noise for the meeting while crews were removing the Jersey barriers on Main Street.  That activity was a perfect lead into the conversation with the Mayor.

The group is currently active in supporting candidates for office that support their agenda. They are also actively promoting The Community Power program in the state which aggregates energy purchases and  provides cost savings to individuals
