Larson offers this invitation to the Nashua community: “It’s a circus. It’s a performance. It’s a production. You get to see four talented artists making large format sculpture for your town, and it’s the only time that an artist takes that really, really tender, fragile practice that is art making, risk taking, and does it in front of everyone, publicly. Sounds scary, just saying.  Don’t scare us.  Don’t scare them. So, stop by, stop by, chat with our artists, engage with their making practice, with their artistic practice, and they will in turn engage with you.”

The 900 students were guests of Nashua Community Arts. The non-profit, in coordination with Spectacle Live, organized this one-of-a-kind school trip to see the “Pete the Cat” musical. Buses and tickets, and two performances were provided free of charge to the children. The funds were raised at the charity gala held last summer.

It was one of Reverend Dr. King’s deep beliefs that we are stronger and better together. And that when we come together, it’s only through that coming together that we can begin to defeat the forces of evil in our world.”
