For decades, I have been involved with many other advocates in efforts to end homelessness in NH and worked for many years in agencies involved with housing and low-income people. I  grew up in and have worked in Manchester. I have also worked all over the state including Nashua, where I live now. Since homelessness is caused by multiple economic, social, and health-related factors, it is not easy to find effective solutions.

We’ve been stuck with a do-nothing Congress for a long time, but the current Congress may be the do-nothing-est – they passed only 34 bills into law last year, the lowest output in decades. What’s tragic about Congress’s inability to address our problems is that we are in desperate need of solutions. The rising cost of living is burning a hole in our pockets, our democracy is under attack by Donald Trump and his thugs, and our fundamental rights are being stripped away by extreme right-wing judges.
