NASHUA, NH – After six weeks of bus assignment issues, Superintendent Mario Andrade said a new communication will go out to families Tuesday prompting them to check the family portal for bus updates.
At the Board of Education meeting Monday night, Andrade said that the district has received about 700 responses on the transportation help desk regarding issues or safety concerns with bus transportation.
He said that the district is monitoring and addressing the root causes of the transportation challenges through a scorecard system, and that they are working to increase communication with First Student and how to inform parents when buses are running late.
“All of the changes that we’ve made over the last six weeks are getting uploaded in x2,” Andrade said.
Chief operating officer Krystal De Gray said that everything should be updated in Aspen/x2 by midday today.
She added that the district is working to update FirstView – a bus tracking app – by the end of this week or sometime next week. Parents can expect calls from their local school if there are any major delays.
Any concerns with buses can still be reported to the Transportation Help Desk.
