Police confirmed that shell casings were found at 139 Hollis St. shortly after a shooting late Aug. 21 at Sullivan Park.

NASHUA, NH – A shooting took place after midnight on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 139 West Hollis Street that police believe was connected to the shooting at Sullivan Park Wednesday night

A neighbor next to the home that was shot at said a man with a gun at Woodlawn Cemetery fired twice at the home.

“Boom, boom! It was so loud. I knew it wasn’t fireworks,” said Steve Gamache. “Police swarmed the place.”

He said the residents of the home were escorted out, uninjured.

Gamache said the shooting in his neighborhood happened right after the shooting at Sullivan Park, which happened at about 11:45 p.m. on Aug. 21. Nashua Sgt. John Cinelli said police reported “two groups of people” were at the park prior to the shooting that left one man injured. Several gun casings were recovered from the park, as well as a firearm.

“I’d like to know why the guy was shooting at that house,” Gamache said. “Did they even arrest anyone yet?”

Nashua Police Sergeant John Cinelli on Monday confirmed shell casings were found at 139 W. Hollis St.

Further information was not available at this time, Cinelli said as both incidents are still being investigated.
