NASHUA NH – Under blue skies on an unseasonably warm November morning, Nashua had its annual Veterans Day Parade. Several hundred residents lined the streets along the parade route beginning at Holman Stadium and along Main Street.
The parade has eight sections with bands from local schools, veterans groups, color guards, and ROTC units. The clusters of small groups and families that gathered on the sidewalks of downtown continuously showed their appreciation with waves, cheers, and applause.
In our moment of division after a hard-fought election season, it was a pleasant display of unity and patriotism.
