Nashua announces Holiday Stroll road closures, parking ban

NASHUA, NH – Main Street and some adjacent streets will be closed and traffic rerouted Saturday for the annual Holiday Stroll.

Parking will be banned on Main Street and other streets as well.

There will be free shuttle service, beginning at 3 p.m. from Holman Stadium (ADA compliant) and Rivier University for those attending the Holiday Stroll.

Street closures will remain in effect until at least midnight Saturday to allow weeping and cleaning. 

No parking

Cars must be moved off of Main Street by 2 p.m. Saturday. Cars that remain on the closed streets will be towed.

There is no parking on Orange Street starting at 2 p.m..

There is no parking on West Pearl from Elm to Main Street starting at 2 p.m. 

Road closures

  • High Street between Main Street and the taxi stand, 10 a.m.
  • Main Street between West Hollis and Amherst streets, 2 p.m.
  • Eldridge Street between Main and Spring streets, 2 p.m.
  • West Pearl Street between Main and Elm streets, 2 p.m.
  • East Pearl Street between Main and Spring streets, 2 p.m.
  • Factory Street between Main and Mechanic streets, 2 p.m.
  • Water Street between Main Street and the entrance to French Renaissance
  • Park, 2 p.m.
  • Franklin Street between Main and Front streets, 2 p.m.
  • Clinton Avenue and Railroad Square, 2 p.m.

Transportation and parking

Those attending the Holiday Stroll may use the free shuttle service provided by the Nashua Transit System and First Student, available at the these locations:

Holman Stadium with continuous Shuttle Service (ADA compliant) running 3– 9:30 p.m., dropping off at the top of Clinton Street near Library Hill (ADA compliant busses)

Memorial Hall at Rivier University with continuous Shuttle Service running 3-10 p.m., dropping off near the Transit Center on Garden Street behind the Santander parking lot.
