NASHUA, NH – More than 25,000 people attended the 29th annual Holiday Stroll on Nov. 30 in downtown Nashua. The event is an annual Christmas season tradition presented by Great American Downtown and the city.
Santa and Mrs.Claus greeted children and families at the Nashua Center for the Arts building in the afternoon as the crowd gathered, and crews from the city set up Jersey barriers to block the streets of downtown.
Main Street was closed from Library Hill to West Hollis Street to accommodate the crowds and attractions. The event featured food vendors, ice sculptors, musicians, games, and a Berry-go-Round amusement park ride.
The “Stroll” is a candle-lit parade that began at City Hall and ended at the Hunt Memorial Building for the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, where Mr. and Mrs. Claus flipped the switch.
