HUDSON, NH – A Litchfield woman was seriously injured in a crash On December 12, 2024 in Hudson after her Jeep struck a utility pole.

At approximately 12:55 p.m., members of the Hudson Police Department and Hudson Fire Department responded to the area of 225 Webster St. for a reported motor vehicle collision with injury.

Upon arrival, it was determined that a Jeep Wrangler, driven by Meghan Blundon, 47, of Litchfield, was traveling northbound on Webster Street when her Jeep traveled off the right side of the travel lane, struck a utility pole, and came to rest on the left side of the vehicle.

The utility pole was severed as a result of the collision and wires were hanging dangerously low to the ground.  Witnesses to the accident stopped and assisted Blundon, who was the lone occupant, with exiting the vehicle before emergency personnel had arrived on scene.

It was determined that Blundon had sustained possible serious injuries and HFD requested that Med-Flight respond for emergency transport.  Members of HFD and HPD secured a landing zone at 211 Derry St., the Hudson Historical Society, for the Med-Flight helicopter.

HFD transported Blundon by ambulance to the landing zone and she was subsequently airlifted to a Massachusetts hospital.  Blundon was reported to be in serious but stable condition.  The northbound lane of Webster Street was closed for hours while the utility pole was replaced.

This circumstances of the collision remains under investigation.
