If one wanted to take a look back on the last several years of high school soccer in Nashua, one would have to look no further than the Rivier University men’s soccer roster.
The Raiders featured five former Titans and Panthers on their squad. Rivier had its ups and downs this season, battling to a 7-6-7 record overall.
Senior Jose Ochoa (Nashua South) started 15 games at midfield for Rivier. He had a goal and two assists.
Sophomore Cameron Rodrigues (Nashua North) started 19 games at midfield. He didn’t get into the scoring column but was part of a defense that allowed just 1.03 goals a game.
Another part of that defense was senior Ryan Hadouche (Nashua South), who played in 10 games with five starts at defender.
Also on the roster were sophomore defender Andrew Lennox (Nashua North) and freshman keeper Giovanni Quintana (Nashua North).
The Rivier women’s basketball team is off to a 2-5 start through seven games, with Nashua well represented.
Senior Hannah Muchemore (Bishop Guertin) has been a standout for the Raiders. The 5-7 forward has averaged 15.0 points and 4.3 rebounds a game. She is shooting 32.2% from the field and 76.1% from the free throw line.
Freshman guard Taylor Rioux (Concord Christian) has played in all seven games, coming off the bench to average 1.3 rebounds and 0.4 assists.
Senior guard Anna Stawasz (Bishop Guertin) has seen limited time in three games.
Nashua native Kyler Bosse (Bridgton Academy) has been having a sensational season for the Rivier Men’s basketball team, helping the Raiders to a 6-1 start.
Bosse, a 6-4 grad student, has been torching the nets to the tune of 19.9 points a game. He’s also been pulling down 6.6 rebounds and dishing out 1.3 assists. Bosse is shooting a white-hot 54.6 percent from the field, including a ridiculous 47.6 percent from behind the 3-point line.
Three former Nashua high school stars have helped the Plymouth State men’s basketball team to a 5-1 start.
Sophomore guard Jayden Montgomery (Nashua North) has started all six games and is averaging 7.3 points per game, along with 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists.
Jaden Peña (Nashua North) a 6-1 freshman guard, has seen action in five games, averaging about seven minutes per game. Sophomore forward Javari Ellison (Bishop Guertin) is also on the roster.
Freshman Grace Menicci (Bishop Guertin) has been a solid contributor for the Plymouth State women’s ice hockey team, helping the Panthers to a 5-3-0 start to the season.
Menicci, a defenseman, has played in all eight games, notching three assists. The PSU defense has been limiting opponents to just 1.9 goals a game.
Sophomore Julian Correa-Estrada (Nashua South) played in 19 games, with five starts, with the 9-8-3 Fitchburg State University men’s soccer team.
Correa-Estrada, a midfielder, notched a goal and an assist.
Sophomore Isaiah McKinney (CSI Charter) has been a solid contributor on defense for the 5-1-0 Fitchburg State men’s ice hockey team. McKinney has a goal and two assists and a plus/minus rating of plus-5.
