The City of Nashua is set to receive $7.7 million through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Lead Hazard Reduction Grant Program. This fundingwill be used to continue efforts to increase the number of lead-safe housing units in Nashua,addressing lead-based paint and other hazards in more than 200 housing units, providing safer homes for low-income families with children.

This City-organized event is in partnership with Positive Street Art, and will have a strong art and maker focus to the activities and vendors. PSA will take over a large portion of Main Street and the lawn at supporter Main Street Methodist Church, with live art battles, and art and swag for purchase. They also have several fun things planned for families with kids, including a chalk-paint car – donated by Best Ford and painted gratis by Precision Collision – for attendees to decorate; a mural project where everyone can contribute their artistic talents; and a paint-splatter “tent” that will be messy fun for those who dare!
