PUBLISHER'S CORNER

A friend was telling me about Pinewoods, a camp mainly for grownups who like to dance. This weekend is the closing weekend, so it's too late for you to get your Scottish Dance on, but the 2025 camp season is posted and you can find your groove whenever you're ready.

Pinewoods touts itself as the oldest continually operating bastion of traditional dance in the U.S. and it's located within striking distance - down in Plymouth, Mass. They also have "band camp" - I really do love the idea that camp isn't just for kids. If you love music this might be your idea of the perfect vacation.

And oh, by the way - Happy National Video Games Day! (See our tribute to Ralph Baer, father of the video game, below.)

September 12th is National Video Games Day: Thanks, Ralph Baer!

Some of you will already know that one of the people responsible for the existence of this entire industry hails from right here in New Hampshire. OK, he wasn't born here, but he made his home here, in Manchester, and worked for many years in Nashua, which is possibly more significant. Ralph Baer's life was really quite remarkable.
