PUBLISHER'S CORNER

In Maine the issue of floating camps is causing some controversy. There's a lot to unpack here and so I'll let you read through it for yourself, but it sounds like there's a growing number of "not house boats" clogging up the waterways.

I couldn't discern from the language used in several different versions of this story whether these are basically floating homeless encampments or something else. But it wouldn't surprise me if there are homeless people finding creative ways to shelter themselves. As in Maine an New Hampshire and every other state in the U.S., homelessness continues to be the No. 1 issue that goes on without new solutions.
