PUBLISHER'S CORNER

Hopefully this is the last time you will have to sit there while I shake my fist at technology. Right now everything's going fine - but not after more than 24-hours of virtual heartache. For some reason yesterday two things collided - a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack on the server that hosts Ink Link - which involves a data center in Michigan and far more websites than just mine - and some sort of issue with Xfinity that seems to only be affecting me at my house and two websites in particular: Manchester Ink Link and Nashua Ink Link. I won't bore you with the details - because frankly, they make no sense - but basically I can access the entire World Wide Web from my computer and my phone EXCEPT for Ink Link. And when I switch off my Xfinity wifi at home, I can get to both sites using my VERIZON HOT SPOT.
|
So I'm hot-spotting it for right now. Tomorrow an Xfinity tech is coming to my house. I am curious to see what the official answer is. In the meantime, enjoy the third installment of Gary Ledoux's In Service to America series, honoring Nashua veterans. They are being published every weekday culminating on Nov. 11/Veterans Day.
